DeathChii is right, I was having a bad day. I was feeling very out of it because I didn't get any sleep. My neighbors kept me awake all night.

Ooh. Is someone giving out hugs? I'll take two, please. I'm such a cuddle-whore.

Hey, I like what you wrote mindless1; the problem is that when I read this kind of threads that you make (because you have posted others that gave me the same sensation), I never know why you posted that. You just want us to read it? Do you want help or advice? Or that we share our experiences about the matter? I just feel clueless and don't know what's all about...

Did you do anything about the neighbors to alleviate the situation?

um...so you drag up a thread that you started? My two cents: if you just want to post something like this do it in the random section (then nobody cares if it has a point) and don't drag up threads you made without good reason (it just makes you look like an attention whore)

um, you dragged it up to by posting in it, what's the big deal? Just because it hovers on the top of the page for a few seconds...unless of course a billion people want to add onto it.

This thread in a nutshell: "Hardly flowery speech telling everone in the most generic way possible that I'm sad!"

mindless1, as you know, life is going to suck sometimes. It's basically all about growing up. I don't really know anyone who has a set and definitive life plan in your (and mine since our age group overlaps) age group and at your age, life is going to seem pointless a lot of times. You're growing up and figuring things out. That's basically all there is. You're going to be mopey some days, happy the next and completely philosophical the day after or darkly morose the day after that. Human life isn't as pointless as you think, it's just the usual depression that you'll go through that will make you think that way. You're just living life.

Fuck growing up. Human life IS pointless, so why should I bother with the maturation process? I wanna roll down grassy hills and hunt wasps with a garden hose and tennis racket; growing up is not conducive to those things, so, fuck it.

Growing up doesn't have to be stripping away all of your childhood happiness in exchange for a briefcase and a suit. I know I haven't. It's basically growing maturity and further refining your personality. If frolicking in grassy meadows and rolling down hills is your thing then to be honest, nothing is stopping you from doing it. And for something so pointless, apparently you enjoy it if you like having simple enjoyable fun such as rolling down hills and hunting wasps and that's totally a-ok.

getting older is mandatory, becoming a mature adult is optional.
heard that somewhere.
