May just be the fact that I played Masquerade originally, and got on well with the GM- a few good and long-running games. When I tried Requiem, the GM was a twat of epic proportions. I'm afraid that the first campaign in any system will generally set the tone for me.

I've had shitty experiences with both systems, but having read both games' respective corebooks, I'm more impressed by the 2004 reboot.

Do it well if you're gonna do it. One-liners and godmoding makes my teeth itch and a red mist descend over my vision. I then wake up amidst flashing sirens, and strangely soft walls.

Don't care what rules, so long as the grammar is good and there is some finesse. I may even join in.

Which of the boards should we put this in?
If we put it here, it'll get swamped with every day stuff and drown quickly- I imagine it'll have fewer posts than the Word Association Game, simply because of the length of post required for it and the fact that not everyone can post constantly depending on what their char is doing and how it's interacting.
Literature doesn't seem quiet right for it, nor does Commentary
It's certainly not Whining, Politics, Music or Fashion.

Yeah, I think shill would work. There's a random advertisement that might pop up, but otherwise, people kind of ignore it.

And there's always going to be people who one-line, and have bad grammar, and attempt to god-mode. The most you can do is kill them.

I'll go see if I can a basic ruleset online. The disc I had with PDFs of all the first and second ed World of Darkness games has gone missing, so I don't have my usual resources.

Ugh, please. Do not say that Gaia roleplaying has anything to do with actual PbP roleplaying. That's like comparing Gerard Way to Rozz Williams.

Ehm, anyway. I used to roleplay, until I found I never had the time for it, and could hardly ever find a good place for it. Usually it's all mopey adolescents wishing they could be vampires or posting slash or something. And tabletop is something entirely different, something that I've no experience in.

Meh. I probably won't join in any "RP" thread I see here, but I'm not going to say I'm one hundred percent certain it'll be atrocious.

But to each his own.
