| Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Haha, I agree. But getting back on the thread, I'm getting more bands than my bandwidth allows me to download. But that's a good thing.

Oh shit, that's weird. That word was in all caps and G.net corrected the grammar automatically. Weird.

The Southern Death Cult was pretty political. Also, I guess the Dead Kennedys go without saying.

Google the lyrics from XTC's "Oranges and Lemons". That shit was written almost 10 yrs ago, and still applicable to today....

There were a lot of awesome political bands and music in the 60's and 70's.
My favorite from that time is Crosby Stills Nash and Young.
Listen to Wooden Ships or Chicago sometime. Especially Chicago. That song singlehandedly brought down the Mayor.

Oh, and how can I forget Four Dead in Ohio?

Die Toten Hosen.
Yeah, they're German but that just adds to the extra aggression in the sound, especially in an anitque punk band from the late 70's.
Heir kommt alex, Wunsch Dir Was & Pushed again are probably their most well-known political songs, but they'd be easier to youtube than anything else.
