One thing that really wrung my heart was the * spoiler alert, highlight blank to read *

moment after the dog died, when he goes into the DVD store and starts talking to the female mannequin. When he's standing there saying " please say hello to me " His sheer lonliness and desperation for company now he had lost his dog, really made me well up! I think that bit was well acted. I just wanted to hug him so badly .

The new Batman film does look quite good. I didn't even recognize that The Joker was played by Heath Ledger. Maybe he DOES have some acting chops, skills that I never attributed to him.

Well I thought that the movie sounded interesting. I heard people say that it sounds good, but the effects went bad in the end. I'd probably rent it. :P

I went to see it this morning and it was fucking amazing!!!!! Probably my most fave film of 2007 and 8! Quite sad as well, and it made me jump a couple of times. Haha, the couple behind me were crying when his dog di...wait. I won't spoil it, people who have seen it, you know what I mean.

I saw it a couple days ago, It was good I love it.

SPOILERS : I dont know how to make my type highlight-able so just skip over it if you havent seen the movie yet...

When the chick saves him from the creatures and he tells her to wait untill dawn to go to his house WHY DOESNT THAT IDIOT LISTEN!!!!???
I also dont understand why he didnt give the antidote to sam when she got infected? If it worked on the rat wouldnt work on the dog???
He would of lived if it wasnt for that one thing.

I loooved the movie.

Not as much as the book of course, but
the movie was great in my opinion. I've been
taking Film analysis all year and I found no flaws personally.
And also on the personal line, I dunoo about you guys
but after I watched it I can't stop listening to Bob Marley! xD

I liked the flick although the vamps should have been actors (like 30 Days/Night) instead of CG. Will Smith's acting was definitely up a notch.

I gotta say, personally, this movie made me truly emotional for 2 days. I couldn't stop thinking about it because when you think about it, things like this CAN happen. Anything is possible.

I saw it! It was an excellent movie in my opinion. However, there was a few flaws in the movie just like any other movie, but all in all, I thought it was good. I wonder what would happen to my mind after being alone for three years.

Well, I just came back from the theatre and low and behold, i am amazed.

Either way, i was most impressed. I sure did notice both the spoiler noted by delkaetre and the Batman/Superman poster. I thought it was rather cheek and tongue to how absurd these movie combinations are becoming.. but that's just me. Batman VS Superman = Superman wins. Just watch HISHE and see superman's comment on Batman at the end of it.

What was the book called? It is SO on my to read list... after Dune: House Atriedes.

He sooo could have. It annoyed me the ending because he could have lived. And as for the whole, "he wanted to make sure he killed them" - how the hell could he? He was in bits!

Plus the fact, would the entire place still not be in flames the next day when your woman and her little boy went to leave?

I know it's a film and all that but I like my movies to have a slight hint of realisism to them.

I saw in IMAX the day it came out. Was really impressed and very much enjoyed the first half of the film. I was very disappointed in the second half of the film, too bad, with that kind of budget they could have done so much.

I'm probably in the minority when it comes to the adaptations of this story. I really don't care for a lot of the things in the book. I think the original Vincent Price version is kind of boring, but, have always loved the campy Charleston Hesston version. I actually wish they had done more of a remake of that version that yet a third retelling.

This one was strongly recommended to me by a roommate. I didn't share his degree of enthusiasm. I liked the attention to detail, the use of flashbacks, watching Smith's character's mind deteriorate, and the first half, when I didn't know what the "monsters" were, definitely made me jump a few times. But I didn't really enjoy yet another movie with Will Smith being naked, and his inability for pathos made some of the scenes you guys have mentioned seem rather hollow; I just couldn't care about the character very much. That, combined with an ending that seems trite and tacked-on made this film "just okay" in my book.

Plus, why does everyone keep referring to these creatures as vampires? The only trait they share in common with them would be the light thing; everything else is closer to modern zombies.

I just watched this last night.
I liked all of the movie except the end, It just felt like somthing was missing. Also the animation of the vampire things could have been better.

What Delkaetre said about the leader earlier, how the creatures were more intelligent than we gave them credit. I have a question.

Was I the only one that thought about how the mannequin and that trap got there? It seems everyone assumes he set that up thinking one of the creatures would get caught and forgot about it. To me it was very obvious that the creatures set that up to trap him, and everyone sort of overlooked it.

I would have also liked to see more into how the girl recovered. The first time he attempted use the antidote she died. And he had to pack her in ice to get it to work. Theres was chance it wouldnt work on everyone.

I have seen it. I thought it was very good. I was amused when I saw Will Smith hitting golf balls on the wing of a SR-71 Blackbird. I think that's what that plane was called. I would do that if I was him. BTW, was that fine art I saw in the hall of his home? lol.
