*bit of a rant*
Ophelia is right , doesnt matter how she migh have sounded . A guy like this deserve not even being talked about!
Megara , you are really lucky to be on the side of mom and sister .
Me , I was completly alone and trying to hide my feelings in front of everybody . They never were the perfect couple , but a cold , distant one , never got into a fight in front of me , but I remember myself wondering if other happier , communicative parents were the norm or the exception . I always knew something was wrong with them .
Someone told me I was lucky not to hear and see shit , but one is still seeing silence and feeling the bad vibrations between them ... I dont know which is worst , honestly ... You cant messure pain ...
To see your parents divorce makes you think that nothing is sure in this world and leaves you wondering about yourself and your future in relationships . Thats the worst part of it . You get over yelling and moving and such stuff with time and peoples support , but you should know you'll have to work it alone , you'll have still to fight with what happened a long long time , inside your mind .
Anyways , they get the divorce , not you . You got your mom and your sister . He is alone , and deserves it , because one must be a coward if hes saying that to the kids . He wasnt able to give you and your sister nothing , his yelling showed it .
Hope you , your sister and mom , get a better life after this . Your place is now with them , try to help each other and be there and you'll make it .
Lot of love for you , Meg .

So what.
They could both be dead.
Count your lucky blessings.

I'm not going to lie. I don't see this as a big deal. My parents are divorced and there's been a lot of nasty stuff involved between the two, but I really didn't find it that troubling. Even so, unlike Sir over here. I can understand why this may be hard for someone else. Everyone's limits and trials are different in life. I offer you my condolences. Though you should not be upset over a guy that says those things to your mother.

Why are we all "Oh how could he say those things about your mother?" What if her mother is a fucking cunt-licking whore (as his pejorative term, not as if I think those things suck)?

Because parents should not talk about the other like that near their children. Do you know how damaging that can be?
And how immature?
My mom did that with my dad almost my whole life.
But my dad only made one negative comment about her to us and he apologized because he understood why it was not the right thing to do.

Same with my dad, I can't stand talking to him very long because he'll go on and on about what a cunt my mom is, its painful to hear namely because I love my mom very much, and on the other hand, THEY DIVORCED TEN YEARS AGO. Its absolutely ridiculous that he has a new family but still feels the need to take a jab at my mom. And he told my little brother all sorts of things, that mom is a slut and left him for another man.
*Hugs* Megeara, I know its going to be tough, but your stepdad sounds like a real douche bag, good riddance. But yes this is still going to cause pain. How is your mom handling it? How are your siblings?

Sorry M, I am sure its a very difficult time even if it sounds like you maybe better off without your step dad if he says things like that about your mother in front of you.
Hopefully after a while things will end up being better than they were before he left.

Good for you?
Meg I'm sorry to hear that you are going through such a hard time. It really does sound like this is best for everyone so just try to focus on the positives.

I'm sure that someone of your vast intellect could find away around that, as for why you would want to do such a thing, I have no idea

Then, we'll have our post count going up.
What can go wrong with saying "Sorry to hear, it's sound bad. hang in there"?

We might get taken advantage of...you know, in that totally wasting-calories-to-type way. The horror. The horror.
