So is Jaunty Jackalope the shit or what?

25 second boot time, beautiful fonts (Japanese in particular reads much nicer I've noticed), slick notification system, oh me likey...

I've never tried a KDE desktop, and the few KDE apps I've tried seemed powerful but also heavy and feature-bloated. GNOME works well enough for me, but maybe if I'm bored sometime I'll give KDE a spin.

Jaunty is nice. But so far, I haven't actually seen any significant changes besides eye-candy.

I like how pretty KDE is and it has a LOT of neat eye candy, but for practicality I find Gnome better, but then I have a pretty shitty laptop.

I'm liking Jaunty so far, very naiiice, but like Jack I haven't noticed a huge difference.

I run Ubuntu off of Vmware, purely for Scripting/Programming. So the GUI doesn't interest me in the slightest.
