Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

And wearing all black doesn't look weird!? It only seems weird beause Goths traditionally wear black. I know of Goths who wear red.
As an old school Goth, I'd say that Goth is more than just the colour of your clothes. And black is soooo 1980s! LOL!!!

i wear black,purple and red.
i have a low tolerance for colours.

i find it hard to even imagine myself wearing white.

You don't like sterile hospital-patient white? I thought mental health problems were all the rage this year.

Yea, but then what about tan people?
I'm just curious what you think. I'm not trying to start anything. Sorry if it seemed like that. As I was saying, what about tan people? Because I'm kinda tan I'm not too dark. I'm mixed so my skin is tan'ish with little hints of yellow when I fade during winter, and white does not look good on me. I very much prefer black. So, what is your opinion?

I think people who are tan can where white very well, usually. You have the luxury of being able to pull off both white and black with out either of them washing you out, since you have a warm complexion.

It depends on whether you want a high level of contrast between the colour of your clothing and your skin tone.

Well, I'm a brunette, as you may have noticed, very mediterranean. People tell me I look good in white, when I wear a white shirt or t-shirt (but that's rare).
But I'm very sloppy, and white gets easily dirty.
However, I aggree, a total white look can be very gothic.
And it's the colour of mourning in some countries.

I can't say for sure, but I have a friend who is beautiful and leans toward the dark side. One day I was staying at her house and she came out wearing this long white lacy camisole. She has this beautiful skin and long shiny black hair. I'm pretty straight but she was HOT.
So maybe all white can work.

I've considered doing this... but I figured it would be too much of a bitch to work with.
I mean If i spilled even a drop of anything on it, it would be noticeable.
In my opinion, it would be easier and less stress to do my usual dark clothes.
If you want to do the white thing, it's fine, and it would probably be pretty fucking awesome. XD

White does look quite good on some people. It isn't as slimming as black does, but it makes you look much more graceful for some odd reason. It works especially well if you wear gold jewelry instead of silver with it. It is an attractive look, but still very recognizable as your own if you work with it a bit more.

I am the same way. I am of Italian and Mexican descent, so my skin is always tanned, even in Winter. I look horrendous in white. But I think it's a good tradeoff, because my skin tone goes very well with black.
