I’ve read a lot about this season of HBO’s Game of Thrones, and people who worked on the show are saying that this is the season that starts to take the show in a different direction from the books. After the explosive battle and brilliant writing of last week’s Battle of Blackwater, season two of Game of Thrones ends with…a flaccid anti-climax, the result of juggling too many plot lines and adding a few meaningless ones for good measure.
