Under Jason’s Mask – Halloween Makeup Tutorial
One of the most famous characters in horror movies is Jason Voorhees, the main character and bad guy from the Friday the 13th movies, so it would naturally make sense to try this out as a Halloween costume idea, the only issue is, he always wears a hockey mask, so his face is concealed all the time by it.
For this reason, I was intrigued to see how Brea Alysse would work with this concept for a Halloween makeup tutorial, and the idea she came up with works really well, since she does focus on the hockey mask that the character wears, but instead of it being a prop she simply puts over her face, she takes a different approach by painting her face so it looks like the mask, but she shows it as if it had been damaged and part of it had broken off, leaving a side of her face uncovered and allowing her to play with shadows to give the mask some depth that makes it look as if it was a more realistic and solid component.
