Based on Stephen King’s novel, Pet Sematary focuses on Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz), his daughter Ellie, his son Gage, and Church, the family pet, who move to a new town where they discover a pet graveyard near their home where a strange place exists that, unbeknownst to most but their neighbor Jud Crandall (John Lithgow) and later Dr. Creed himself, has the power to bring back to life everyone that’s buried there, only they don’t necessarily come back exactly […]

This episode was where the season took a dark turn I noticed, and for Game of Thrones to take a dark turn, it must be pretty serious. The episode opens on a man getting out of a boat, and he is soon hit over the head by none other than Jorah Mormont, who is still in possession of Tyrion Lannister. He steals the boat, tosses Tyrion on board and heads out for the open water. On another boat, we see Ser Jaime Lannister and Bronn […]

I’ve read a lot about this season of HBO’s Game of Thrones, and people who worked on the show are saying that this is the season that starts to take the show in a different direction from the books. If I didn’t see it in previous episodes, I definitely do now, and this episode more than any other has broken the expectations that the books left me with. It has only made me more excited to see what happens, since I don’t know what’s coming […]

I am so excited to be talking about this week’s Game of Thrones episode, as it introduces one of my favorite elements from the book series, the House of Black and White. The episode opens on Arya still aboard ship that carries her to Braavos, learning about their customs already. I’d like to note that the scenery here is absolutely breathtaking as we see the entire city for the first time. She gets brought straight to the House of Black and White for which episode […]

Let me just start by starting I’m thrilled to be doing the recaps for season 5 of “Game of Thrones.” I’ve been a huge supporter of the show and the books for the past couple years, and I’ve been waiting for this on the edge of my seat since last years finale. The episode starts off with a flashback scene where we get to see a young Cersei Lannister going with another girl to see a woman who can tell her her future. Though the […]

Things are heating up in the action department as True Blood gets closer to the end of season six. We’re also due a funeral to send Terry off proper and we got that tonight. To be fair, we kind of knew what would happen due to Bill’s mysterious visions, but we didn’t know how we would get there, or more importantly, how our beloved characters would get through it, or if they would at all, especially considering how much the writers have a penchant for […]

It was a fun, dark and action filled season premiere on True Blood as the fans have come to expect. Picking up where the last episode left off, vampire Bill didn’t meet his true death after all. Instead, he’s now evolved into a super vamp of sorts – the mother effing king of all bloodsuckers you might say. To borrow Jason’s awesome description, Bill is now a naked evil Superman. And everyone’s scared. Due to the shortage of True Blood, the shifty Governor of Louisiana […]

Blue Blood just posted some DragonCon costume pics. I’m especially loving this fae zombie monster king outfit. I wonder how long that took to put on. I was very active in East Coast fandom from the time I was very underage (but old enough to get into mischief), until I moved to California. It was a lot of fun. I tended to spell shirt L-I-N-G-E-R-I-E and regularly get in trouble with con security over my (lack of) attire and non-peacebonded weapons. This also meant I […]
