The Pyramid (2014) looks like Alien Versus Predator (2004) only the climate is a lot hotter and the archaeological survey team are not packing as much heat. Holden (Denis O’Heare—True Blood) leads a survey team through an unearthed and spooky three-sided pyramid in the Egyptian desert despite objection from the local authorities. There are traps and labyrinths and soon the curious Americans find out that they are not alone in the depths. There is talk of the Curse of the Pharaohs—the fatal consequences of disturbing […]

It’s the season six finale and it could go any way. What will Sookie do about marrying Warlow? What happens to Bill after losing most of his blood? Where did Eric go? All of this and more is revealed tonight. As Terry is put into the grave, Sookie takes a walk with a very fine-looking Alcide. Let’s face it, is he ever anything but? They share a tender moment but are interrupted when Alcide smells the day walking vamps as they come back to Bill’s […]

Things are heating up in the action department as True Blood gets closer to the end of season six. We’re also due a funeral to send Terry off proper and we got that tonight. To be fair, we kind of knew what would happen due to Bill’s mysterious visions, but we didn’t know how we would get there, or more importantly, how our beloved characters would get through it, or if they would at all, especially considering how much the writers have a penchant for […]

We left Eric clutching Nora as she meets her true death, and we start with this scene as well. Bill tries to get Eric to continue with his holy war while Eric is still holding the remains of his dead sister. Eric calls Bill out about not bringing Warlow to him in time. Eric’s bravery, or insanity, your call, during his moment of maniacal mourning was quite entertaining as he cries, “Mother I can fly! I can fly!” and “Praise Bill!” as Bill exerts his […]

As the show is still trying to downsize on the storylines, we have another death tonight. Before we can talk about that, let me catch you up to speed. The tainted True Blood is on its way out to the masses while Eric tries to save an ailing Nora. Hep V looks pretty nasty as evidenced by Nora’s blackened veins. Eric sends newborn Willa to find Pam and help her as he takes Nora to Bill on the premise that he really is God and […]

Last episode left us fans wondering how Sookie was going to get out of her most recent brush with death. Well, let’s see, shall we? A possessed Lafayette is drowning Sookie when Bill hones in on her dilemma, but who arrives in time to save her but Warlow. Saved, Sookie explains about Lafayette’s possession just as Warlow is getting ready to kill him, and Warlow blasts Lafayette with the fairy juice, sending Sookie’s dad tumbling out. Sookie tells her father to leave her alone forever […]

This episode ended on one helluva note leaving me wondering how it will all wrap up next week. Before I get into that, let me recap what happened tonight. It opened with a very pissed Sookie looking for some answers from Marlow as they’re just about to throw down, but before she fries him with her special vampire killing ball of light, and a desperate Jessica was seeking absolution while she’s dealing with a near fairy blood overdose, but the real kicker is when Bill […]

We left off last episode with Niall and Jason outside in Sookie’s yard, chasing who they believe to be Warlowe. Now we see Sookie and Ben drag Jason back into her home after he collapses in the front yard, and Sookie knows vampire blood would be just the thing to revive him. But with no vampire in sight, Sookie runs in the next room to dial 911 while Ben watches over Jason. Before you know it, Ben’s true identity is revealed as his fangs appear […]

Eric might’ve made a surprise bargaining chip in the Governor’s daughter, Willa, when his intended kill goes south, forcing him to take Willa and run. With the True Blood shortage continuing, the vampire chaos keeps on raging. Eric brings Willa back to Fangtasia and she admits she wants to help him against her father, claiming that she doesn’t like what her father does anymore than Eric does. She reveals that her father has a camp where humans are experimenting on vampires and it seems that […]

There are a lot of strangers in town and one in particular looks mighty hungry. Warlowe, no wait a minute, Jason and Sookie’s fairy grandfather, is the one who gave Jason a ride. What a trip this guy is. Rutger Hauer as a fairy for one is, well, what the hell? H e does bring a bit of dangerous crazy to this role that only he could. Add in the wild, disheveled hair and the Beetlejuice inspired suit, and it makes for an interesting twist […]
