California Deathrock Book Kickstarter
Forrest Black and Amelia G are doing a Kickstarter for a book of their deathrock photography. Forrest Black and Amelia G have been documenting the deathrock scene in California for over a decade now and the goal of this project is to publish a book of some of their best images.
Kickstarter is a service for independent artists. People who want to see an artistic project actually come to fruition pledge to, for example, buy a copy of the book if it comes out. Then, if the book meets its goal for how much funding it needs to be published, Amazon will collect the pledges. Nobody gets charged until the end of the pledge time period and nobody gets charged if the funding goal is not met.
The California Deathrock project is currently 62% funded. Kickstarter has run the numbers and projects which meet the halfway mark are 90% likely to succeed. So this is good news.
