Vintage Gothic Chic – Makeup Tutorial
This makeup tutorial by Vocallyshook is one of my favorites because it focuses on the chic side of the Gothic aesthetic. She brings white elements to contrast with darker tones, and uses brown and red to add a colorful touch to the look, which is what helps give it a vintage feel that centers on a classic glamour style inspired by legends like Dita Von Teese.
One element in particular that I like is the winged eyeliner that Vocallyshook goes for, because it makes the eyes look larger and more expressive, which in this case works very well, since she creates a look that not only goes for the stylish, but also allows for some self-expression through the details, like with the tear she adds at the end, which invites us to explore our very own creativity in the canvas of our visage when recreating this look.
